ok so it looks like a peace of carbord is covering up only half the spot were the airfilter goes on my 98 cbr it also ahs an aftermarket pipe and i was told it might not be jeted so could this be why they used the carbord ? the guy i got it off said they tryed to put an airfilter in it but it woulndt run any help would be great

well as far as my understanding goes (someone pls correct me if im wrong) the only reason your bike must be jetted is if you put a full exhaust system on , but with just a slip on it should still run fine without being jetted. my 97 with a yoshi pipe runs great and i havent jetted the carbs. maybe they were just lazy and never put one in... did u put one in and see how its runs ? id start off by doing that then figure out where to go from there

Me too, I have a Yoshi slip on and it said it had a jet kit, but when I got it it had the stock can on it so ...? From what I heard the jet kit is not really neccessary. Yank it out and throw in a K&N! Then you'll see a difference!
