What up fellas. I have a question for you all. I did the 520 Conv. on my bike 16t front/43t rear DID chain. Well everything came out ok except that when I shift gears they feel really hard and now shifting into 1st gear, it hits harder than before. Also all the other gears hit hard now when before, they never did. Any suggestions? Once the bike is rolling it feels smooth, the chain tracks smooth and straight.

Hey Repsol73, did you solve the trouble you were having with the hard shifting????  I am wondering if it is the new front sprocket that is not dampened like the stock one.   Also, maybe a tight chain.
Let us know what you came up with.

well remember aftermarket front sprockets do not have that rubber dampner
so that will cause more vibration and more "felt" clunk in the drivetrain

but as far as always clunky check your chain, if it is too tight the shift will be hard as well

also make sure and check the verticle shift linkage to make sure the linkage rod is at a 90 degree angle to the shift rod coming out of the motor.

How much would I pay at a bike shop for this mod?

I've been using the 520 DID for about a year. Improved the low end a little bit. I've been told it's best to put on new sprockets the same time if you have few miles on it, otherwise the chain will wear out prematurely

I finally did my 520 conversion. You clear instructions definately helped! I had my laptop next to me the whole time I was working on the bike. Thanks again
