when i was having problems with my electrical system if the start button wouldnt work and then i remote started it and then turned it off and tried the start button it would work. couldnt tell you why but it did so im not at all the least bit surprised.

and with the tank, i got a used tank with no dents or cap off ebay for $30. it had rust in it, so i had it acid dipped and epoxy coated for $70. if you can get a tank in good condition and no rust then go for it. thats what it cost me to get mine in that condition.

if I could get the 87 cane wiring diagram that would be awesome! I replaced my fuel pump, only to realize the wires feeding it are jacked-up.

you should be able to order those fuel lines

get the part number from Mr Cycles then go to Service Honda for the cheapest OEM parts online. SH has a parts finder but its more confusing than help. just enter the part # on that page and it will bring it up.

AWESOME THANKS!! I put an aluminum, rubber, everything stop leak on it yesterday. It has a 24hr cure on it.......just a temp fix.I'm still trying to troubleshoot the whole big picture because when I got it running it was dying out real quick and sucking a lot of fuel until I realized it wasn't all getting into the carbs...this thing has sat for so long that it's a matter of finding out ALL the things on it that have to be fixed.

It looks pretty good. I saw it last weekend quickly though. I'll mention it to him and have him contact you with maybe some pics if he wants to get rid of it
