so the stock sprocket on the 05' 600rr is 43/16. i have heard other brands stock gear is 45/16. I think 46 is a good place to sart. I found a gear calculator, and it says with 0/+3 my top speed will be 157. does any one have this set up and what do you think of it. wheelies better to i hope!!!!

or just drop 1 tooth in the front and then you will be able to use the chain on the bike..otherwise you may need new chain if you go bigger in the back
Droppin 1 is like adding 2-3 in the rear

The ratio on my 05 F4i is 16/46 and I am going to drop 1 up front and leave the rear alone, to get more torque, this will enable me to be able to do wheelies easier. The top speed is about right on my stock set up.

the past few days been doing a little research, the 520 conversion kit not to bad in price. (140-200 plus) does this void my warrenty? does any one else have one and what do you think? worth it or should i anti up and get the power commander, one at a time though.

The 520 conversion shouldn't void your warranty. I wouldnt worry about it. You'll gain some nice power. As far as power commander goes, I have yet to install one. Unless you're having problems with the bike due to a slip on exhaust... it really isn't necessary.

I like my power commander not really any extra power but it makes it more responsive 520 conversion isnt going to do allot for you either if you are somewhat new you won't notice the difference best bet it drop one in the front or go up a couple in the back it can be cheap and you will get a big bang for you're buck I went up three in the back and left the front alone nad used my stock chain no cutting or anything bike works awesome now I Love my bike :-)

I am also curious.... If I change the sprocket it will make the bike faster? How many MPH do you think it adds?

bigger rear sprocket = more rotational mass. smaller front sprocket = potential for earlier chain wear and binding.
so that's the difference.
i've been running 15/46 on my f4i and it's good. i have the 520 convo in my garage with 16/49. waiting for the DID to give out but dude...DID the shiznit and just won't quit.

as far as adding MPH, unless you regear it for top speed, you'll lose MPH, but gain acceleration.

Very easy to do, we're talking like a 20 minute job first touching the bike to clean up. All you have to do is put your bike up on a rear stand, loosen the axle and adjust the chain adjustments all the way in. You have a plastic cover over the front so you have to remove it. Two screws only... if it's stuck from grease and dirt... pry it off. You can move the sifter linkage out of the way by taking the top pinch bolt out and letting it hang out of the way. Then you have to remove the front sprocket and put the new one on. Fit your chain back on and adjust the chain. Leave the adjustments all the way in... then start by counting the turns as you adjust them out. That's the easiest way to get it right. Make sure you have about an inch of free play left in the chain and you're set. As for brand... I have AFAM and PBI. I haven't ran either long enough to see how they wear. Check with one of our sponsors... I bought my AFAM from calsportbikes
