Anybody heard of a no cut slider for a 05 600RR yet??? Is it even possible to make them? I'm not even positive where it would mount on the bike. I just bought one for my wife and havent even had a side fairing or inspection cover off of it yet. Thanks in advance for any help!!!

There are some called Oggy Knobbs... which are kind of spendy. I beleive there might be a couple more out now too, from different companies. search for Oggy Knobbs in the forum and youll come up with my post on it. I just e-mailed them today to see what was with the price and to see if I could get them cheaper somewhere...

take it easy, good luck,

Chris

Looks like kneedraggers decided to stop falsely advertising that there are no "effective" a cut sliders for the 600RR. How could there could be since the plastics cover so much of the engine on the sides of the bike?

Don't get me wrong I wish it were possible but I don't see how. In fact if someone has a pic please post it so I can be proven wrong cause I’d buy a set.

Has anyone looked at the Oggy Knobs websight http://www.kenma.com.au/public/oggy.html ??? I have been trying to contact them by phone any havent had any luck. I keep gettin g that number is no longer in service. I do get email responses from them about how to make payment and such but I am a little concerned about sending that much money to a company that doesent even have a working phone number. Anybody had any dealings with this company yet???

Oggy Knob does not have no-cut slider for the CBR600RR. The fine print next to the slider application chart says that a 50mm hole is required.

I called their Tech directly and he swear up and down that these are a no modification install....i.e no holes to drill or cut.......I have never seen a set personally, all I know for sure is they are expensive as hell and come all the way from Sydney, Australia. Anybody with any more knowledge about these that can enlighten us a little more???

I've studied my 600rr and for the life of me can't figure out how anyone could fab no cut sliders that would not get in the way of the riders legs. Call back and see if they will email you a quick pic with them installed. I hope they are not blowing smoke simply because you live on the other side of the world.

even if the things are "no-cut", you don't want them. Anything that curves around the fairing that far isn't going to hold up in the event the bike actually DOES fall and the sliders have to do what they are designed to. I've talked to people that make them for a living, and if they don't connect directly to the motormounts and take a straight path from there, they won't have the strength to support 300+ pounds falling 4 feet at any speed. just take them to a mechanic and have them installed for $15 or so.
