hey guys, Just wanted to introduce myself and ask some questions. My name is nick, I am a college student at The Ohio State University. I will be picking up my bike in two weeks. It is a yellow and black 2002 600f4i. It has the mods that are listed in my sig. I was wanting to look into doing a slip-on exhaust for the next mod. I was wondering what kind of reviews you all have on the different kinds. All info would be great. Also any info you can give me on different types of boots and jackets would be nice. Thanks in advance for everything!

Sup bro welcome to the boards... As far as slip-ons it's pretty much up to you. What you're looking for sound, performance, price. The best of all three in my opinion is a Jardine. I've got the Jardine RT-One Slip on and I Love It! Sounds GREAT, nice throaty at idle/low rpm... screams at high rpm! As far as Leathers go... Joe Rocket, Alpine Stars, Icon are some of the nicest. I'm keen on Joe Rocket... prices are a lil better. I'm rocking the Joe Rocket Blaster Leather Jacket and the Phoenix 2 gloves with carbon fiber knuckle guards. As far as boots go... Alpine Stars and SiDi are good ones. Enjoy that bike of yours, it's a nice one... I'm glad to see you interested in gear, it's the most important thing a lot of people overlook.

Alpine Stars boots and gloves are the shiz-nit. AGV makes decent jackets that you can actually afford. The Joe Rocket stuff is all good but kinda pricey. Welcome to the board -- post up some pics of that bad boy when ya get it.

thanks for the info man. Yeah I am defentitly looking it the gear. I would rather be as safe as possible just incase anything bad happens. I am also taking a riding course to get my license to learn all the basics so hopefully that helps. I think I am getting the HJC C14 helmet to replace the one i have that comes with the bike. So if you know anyone that needs a helmet i have a HJC C12 in XL that is yellow and black for sale. Also for the rest of your guys keep the posts coming. It is greatly appreciated!
