Have you seen "The Day After Tomorrow". If the climate changes, the horse will just freeze mate. Invest in an underground bunker :D

Horses in the snow? As long as their legs are longer than the majority of the power you can go through it... if you get powder taller than them then you have to go round it, or plow a path with the tractor. Here's the tunnel I dug into the other side of that barn... Thumbnail Image

Well at least our snow was here and all gone in the same day. Now its mild and will be able to get out of the house to start on the bike.

lol - that tunnel is about 3'6 - 4' tall... with snow over it that's about 3-4 deep... one of the warmest, and safest spots to be in a snow storm... :D We used to camp in them when I was little. That tunnel was fine for almost a week... beyond that the weight of the ceiling compressed the snow so much that the height of the tunnel was down to 2'. There certainly are some safety things to consider when digging a tunnel - the first is not to let the ceiling get too thick, and the second is not to let the ceiling get to thin.
