If you are willing to spend the $... amsoil, is GREAT !!!!!!! Iv'e got a friend ( runs ams. in all his vehicles, inc. farm) who sold his 92 1000rr, at 132,000 miles !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still started easy, hot or cold... ran great. I feel good oil / filter, is a worthwhile investment... Some disagree... proofs, in the pudding !!!!!! Clean and free Ripp'n

Mobil 1 15w-50 during summer and Mobil 1 MX4T during the winter, and always an OEM filter. Been using this combo since 5k miles, now just over 71k, she's still running as strong as the day I rode her home from the dealer with 3 miles. Good stuff!! If you're using Amsoil though, can't go wrong with that fo sho!

I used Red Line full synth for my 3K oil change a couple of weeks ago. $10.95 a quart. Ouch.
