The converstions looks SOOOOOO much better than the old banana seat look. That's one of the reasons I NEVER considered the F4i as a contender when I was buying a new bike. I just can't stand that ugly one-piece seat. The split seat looks much better, and your bike looks a LOT sportier as well. Great job man.

Hmmm... I guess it's a personal preference. In my opinion, I like the single banana seat. Open it, and you access that big space underneath with ease. It's comfortable and easy to change riding position on. Last but not least, if a hot chick wants to ride on back, she can slide as close as possible to me very easily... LOL

Dude, that looks 10000 times better than stock, I currently own an 02 CBR 600F4i and was really tripped on my next bike, only because of the banana seat,  but now there is no question!! Thanks for posting the pics of your great mod to an already (except for the fruity seat)  nice bike.

Good job, I just dont understand why honda went back to that bannana seat and why they got away from the black frame. I have an 01 and love it.

That mod looks great! I'm a new forum member and a new 06f4i owner. I actually posted a question as to whether this could be done before I stumbled on to your post. This was one of the first questitions that went through my mind as I  gazed at my bike in the Honda show room last summer. Can you please tell me if this has sacrificed comfort much if at all. Has this changed the seat height, the photo makes it look slightly lower

I'm going to have to go sit on one in the show room tommorrow, see, the banana seat looks alot more comfortable to me, and equally stylish. I don't get the big deal? Maybe if I like it, I'll swap seats with somebody who wants 2 seats.    Is the 04+ tail swappable with the RR tail? The RR tail is LED and clear which is what I want, but not sure... is the 04+ F4i Clear and LED too?

Looks friggin awsome!!  I'm doing this very soon as well... just bought most all of the parts off someone on here

So you were able to use the '04 wiring harness, huh?  I was wondering about that... I knew they used different harnesses (part # wise), and the rectifier and ECM were mounted in different locations.  That's cool though that it'll work.  And you say you have to have the battery cover? Hmmm.... not sure the stuff I'm getting has that too, I'll have to make sure I get that

Great job though... bike looks GREAT!!

Looks awesome....huge improvement.  Are you going to get an undertail as well or leave it as is?
