Just finished a fall project on my 2004 Honda F4i. I wasn't a big fan of the single style banana seat... So I started to trade in my F4i for a new 600rr...It was going to be too expensive so I decieded to convert my 04. I got a few parts off ebay and the rest I bought new from an online honda parts store. Anyway, it took the better part of a day and about $500.00. The most expensive item was the rear cowl. Since there were no 01-03 rear cowls in a base color of Honda NH1 Black. I bought a used silver rear cowl and had it professionally painted to match my 2004. They did an excellent job! While everthing was appart I also added LED's front and rear. I replaced the front stock signals with LP smoke LED's with the magic blinker, so LEDs would work as running lights as well as blinkers. The rear was replaced with Shock Racing arrow style LEDs..Also replaced the stock flasher with a heavy duty one so blinkers would flash at a normal rate...The stock tail light was replaced with Clear Alternatives Clear LED Taillight with Integrated Yellow LED Turn Signals. Anyway, I just want to post a few pictures and see what you think......

Sure can! I found a OEM Honda parts dealer online, they are HondaParts-Direct.com. They advertise a 30% discount.... Here's their web address: http://www.hondaparts-direct.com/fiche_select.asp  I got all my parts from them except the subframe, rear cowl, rear footpegs, and tail light.

Would be glad to give you a parts list except for the fact it would be for 01-03 F4i conversion for 04-06 F4i. Don't really know about converting to an 600rr tail.
I think it has been done but the parts would be totally different. Let me know if this is what u want?

Ok, im lazy and just checked out the new looks.... WOW, i love it! i started to gather parts for the conversion, but decided not to...too much money i dont have right now, maybe that will be my next winter project, i just covered up the grab bar holes and repainted it...looks ok i guess, the spray clearcoat looks crappy up close, but its fine for right now, here is a pic

OK! Here what u need to get started!! All the following parts should be for or from a 2001-2003 Honda F4i:

The Major Parts:

- Subframe
- Rear Cowl - new or used, generic aftermarket replacement - will need to be painted to match your bike so color is not important.
- Rear footpegs
- Rear Tail Light
- Undertray, with Battery compartment Lid... Important to relocate the ECU module
- Front Seat
- Rear Seat

Most of the hardware you removed will work to reinstall the 01-03 parts with a few exceptions, I will post the minor ones I ordered later. This will get you started for the conversion. You might find some of the things I ordered unnecessary but I wanted the bike to look and be stock.....

A few mods had to made in order the get the rear light wiring harness to reach the rear tail light and a hole drilled in the bottom of the battery tray so the negative cable would reach the terminal of the battery. But that is near the end of the project and I will cover later...

Hope this helps to get u started, let me know what else u need!!
