ORIGINAL: blade17fire IMO..if you wanna buy sliders, buy the long, 'ugly looking' 4' or 5' sliders currently selling in ebay. No point in buying those nice looking short sliders or those mushroom head ones cause its too short to keep your plastics away from the tarmac in case of a slip. I don't mean to get into any debate on this topic, but I've always believed the purpose of a slider is not to prevent damage to the plastics, but that they are soley intended on reducing the amount of damage to the engine as the stator or clutch covers will aid in this. I also would not buy those extended ones on ebay. The polyurethane that they are made of is junk. Plus, with that much sticking out of the frame, it has a greater tendancy to snap off. So help me out with this, meaning I always thought they were called frame sliders for a reason. Also, consider the vortex sliders. they have the base and a replaceable slider. Sorry to highjack the thread if I have. All in all, it's what you value the most of your ride.
