Hey guys im new to the forum. I have a 03 600rr, and im also building a 03 600rr race bike and was curious as to whether a motor out of an 06 cbr600 will bolt in to the 03 frame. If so then are there any other complications i should be aware of? Thanks guys and gals.

Yes, it will bolt right in. But you will need the exhaust, airbox & ECM from the 06 motor as well, Other than that it's a straight bolt-in.

I actually am currently rebuilding my 04 600rr and swapped in an 05. There are subtle differences between the 03/04 to 05/06 models. For a complete motor swap, you'll need the complete engine, wiring harness and ECM. The airbox are the same, but the throttle body is different. I'm currently using the 03/04 throttle body on the 05/06 engine because the fuel rails aren't the same and won't hook correctly, but I'm mixing the fuel rail years. Also to note, I'm having a bitch of a time to complete the wiring harness on the 05 since its different and no one has the 05 shop manual. I'm missing the MAP sensor connector on the wiring harness, either that or the connectors and location is different. You have to use the 03/04 exhaust system since the 05/06 exhaust has an extra bend to clear the frame/rear swing arm as both are different.

Other then that, it's been a fun build. I'm hoping to finish the build in a month or so.
