$3500, 2002 F4i? What, does it have a savage title? Was it wrecked? What are the specs on the bike? That sounds to good to be true! Any pics? Tell me more....where did you pick it up? I am very curious about this one.....

As for the '99 obviously there are a multitude of things to determine the price but you should be ok finding something decent for around $3000, just don't expect it to be perfect! Good Luck!

Check out ebay or local classifieds. In New England we have something called "Uncle Henry's" it's a large classified paper or catalog, see if you have something like that.

try NADA or KBB for your area... then again, "fair" is whatever someone is willing to pay.

I got my 01 CBR F4i with clear title, 16,116 miles, and a little... and I mean, very little right fairing damage due to a tip over for $3250. That's a good deal right? This is my first serious sport bike.

I would say you did pretty good with that one. The milage is a bit high but the price makes it managable. The tip over, Was it simply dropped, or hit when parked? Damage on both sides or one? How are the mechanics? Chain, sprockets, tires? Anything you need to change soon or now? The bike looks good man! Drive safe!

We paid $3000 for a 99' with 14,000 miles. Salvage title but runs and looks awesome. Seemed to be a fair deal. Maybe should have paid less but we plan to keep it for a while.

for a decent condition one you'll expect to pay at least 4grand

Now one that may have a few fairing issues, dings, dents, but mechanically good you might catch one for your 3,000 mark
a little Love as you said and it'll be good to go, assuming as previously stated engine/frame/electrical system/ etc. are not an issue

Look for those ads that say they may have a little (cosmetic only) damage to save some money and you can find plastics, etc. on ebay or google your way around to find parts.

I got my 99 with 1600 miles on it (guy never rode it! ) just bought it in middle of 2k5, I got it for a great price.

Hurry up , summer's coming! :)

gO hONDA!

I paid 3500 for a 99 f4 with 11,000 miles. Clean title but has minor fairing scratches on the left side. Custom paint and D&D slip-on. I found it on myspace lol. Not too bad if you ask me.
