I passed one of those radar machines the cops set up on the road to slow you down and my speedo was +4mph compared to the radar unit (my speedo said 63 but the radar said 59) so I can only imagine how far off the speedo is by the time you get to 150+mph.......

Holy shit man. Just reading these posts is making me nervous. I am still on the break in period on my 6RR and I was going 80 on the freeway and that seemed nuts, I cant imagine going 150+. I still get scared on a turn going 50 thinking the bike will slip out from under me. Maybe I am just a puss but this being my first street bike I never had to worry abou tthese things on my quad

I would rather be called a puss 500 times a day and go home with a gorgeous, shiny bike then ride above my head and spend the rest of the afternoon collecting the pieces of my baby out of the ditch.....Just food for thought!!!!!!!

before i modified my bike my spedo said 168. after i did it said 175... but i went to the drag strip and had my camera mounted. when i passed the line my spedo said 150... but they only had me at 117... so ill say mine is off by just alittle.

when i was at stock gearing, two bros. exhaust, powercommander III, ported& polished...the fastest i got on my spedo was 171

i have seen 175mph on my speedo. red lined in sixth gear. this was on i55 by chicago. a buddy on a 954rr passed me like i wasent moving.

The speedo will be off by 5 mph or more at high speeds, 179 mph I seriously doubt being that the land speed record on a 600rr was recently set on an RR with nitrous (and other mods) at 184 mph (radar confirmed).

I've had a indicated 157 mph on my '03 RR and I side note...with stock gearing you cannot redline this bike in 6th gear!

Full face helmet, leather, gauntlet gloves, track pants and boots

err, umm or it can be any where between 2nd thru 6th gear depending on how agressive or nonagressive I'm riding

I've gotten my bike up to 163 on the speedometer friggen fast i was racing an rc51, what is the top speed of these things..?
