Juz wanna share and hear interesting stories on how fast and badly a rider here ever crashed..

The fastest speed I ever crashed was 180km/hr..On the front straight just before entering the 1st hairpin corner. I was slip streaming this R1 '03 down the straight when suddenly he braked earlier than my intended braking point. I had to swerve out of his rear wheel and end up hitting the dirt trap without having the chance to tap my brakes!! Ouch!!

My front wheel caught the gravel trap and stoppie on me...I flung and landed head first in a sommersalt roll. haha..even some gymnasts would have applauded my flexibility..Thank God for the suit and full face helmet, I escaped with juz a sore butt and a giddy head. The bike suffered multiple cosmetic damages and she was up and running again in a month's time..

Guys..if you have any stories to share??

first time i tried ridin it was on my roomates ducati in the parkin lot. layed her down on her side and competely screwed up the fairings and broke off the turn signal.
just got done fixing my bike after i tried doin a slow wheelie. pulled the clutch in at bout 20mph, reved it up (accidently bounced the tack), and dumped the clutch at round 15mph. didnt have fast enough reflexes to hit that back brake hard enough. she did a 12'oclock in less than a second. of course i did the squidish thing of gettin nervous and kickin out my legs (and not letin go of the clip-ons) which brought the front end down on my back which missed my head w/o a helmet on it by bout six inches. we both slid down the street for a while and after she tore a nice lil gash in my leg to remind me to never treat he like a P.O.S. stunt bike again she kept going down the street nearly missin the parked car by bout 3 inches. of course the whole time i was slidin i was wantin to cry scream not cause of the pain but cause i had a perfect view of every fairing gettin ripped off of her....sad really. learned my lesson and plan on gettin a P.O.S. to stunt and keepin my 1000rr to ride on the street (and hopefully one day on the track at least once) .

Well, one crash was about 5 mph when a car hit me in an intersection. That was on my 00 gixxer 750. Broke the subframe off, breaking the tabs to the frame in the process, and bent the exhaust into the wheel. The second was also on my old suzuki. Went to get up on the sidewalk by a friends house. Probably about 15mph. There was some grass that was dead even with the concrete hiding the 4 inch gap. So yeah, the front wheel turned in dumping me in his yard jamming my shoulder. Dyno'd the bike later that day, made 119whp.

Probably 65-70mph. I was braking down the last bit of the straight... leaned in for the turn (off the brakes) and a cat crossed... turned in a bit more and lost the front tire. Lowsided for a nice long while... it was a fast enough crash that time stood still.

I remember thinking - tuck my chin in. Move a bit to spread out the weight. Ah - I'm stopped - put a leg down to stand up... summersaulting over that leg - guess I wasn't stopped... sliding and then waiting to be sure I had stopped. Ran over to the bike and hit the kill switch. Absolute slow motion.

I had a friend describe this as mental overload. When things are going well your brain ignores most signals. When things go wrong it gets an overload of signals - it processes all of them and because so much happens you feel that time is moving slower. I don't know if there is any truth to it.

I replaced my back tire on my 06 1000RR at 3500 miles, was showing steel cord down the middle. Got on it the next morning to go to work and got as far as the first corner. I tried to put some power in second to straighten up (at about 20 mph) and it came right out from between my legs. I bounced and slid on my butt with a hole in my riding pants outter layer and scuffed up my gloves and boots. My bike's right side was 2500 dollars bad. Snapped the right handle bar, it was just haging there. All the cowls on the right were damaged and there were scratches on my tank shelter and front cowl. I talk the insurance company into letting me do the work at home on it. I learned alot about my bike, but I would rather not like that same experience again. Word to the new tire riders - Break in period doesn't mean break the bike! P.S. I love riding my bike, I'm at 6000 miles and riding it everyday to work (rain or shine).

last yr this b@$tard in a Corolla took me out @ 70ish on the fwy (hit & run) thats over a 100 in metric !
but i was lucky to walk away from that crash ... plastics and front rim had to be replaced though

what really saved me was my good ol' Blackberry in my butt pocket since I more or less ground it into the ground while sliding on my azz !

Just about a month a go on my way to work my front tire hit a wide painted stripe while I was braking to make a right hand turn. The front end washed out and I slid all the way through the intersection on my side. I would estimate my speed to have been about 25 or 30 mph. The bike only suffered a damaged upper fairing and side case while I ended up with a broken collar bone. Hopefully I will be able to ride again in another 2 or 3 weeks.

1984 I think first year kawasaki came out with ninja 900 running from the police.speeds over 130 mph in a 30 mph zone.back street country roads.Blowing red lights like I was super man.came up to turn best you could attempt would have been maybe 50 mph.I tried my best but couldnt do it got it down t0 about 80mph.****ed up thing is the only thing I remeber about the crash was flying over the handle bars and looking down on my gauges. The run I will never forget It scares me to think what was going on in my mind I dont know why I did it. I dont recomend anyone ever doing what I did. . When I woke up police every where ambulance and lots of people checking out the wreck. It was wrecked and so was i.Police came into the emergency room latter on threw the tickets on my chest and walked out.

Riding my CBR 1000 RR 5 days after I got it. Up on one of those roads that has a lot if curves, and doing fine. Came up on a hill that curves right at the crest. Hit dried up mud leaning, that a couple of 4 wheelers left going across the road right were the curve is. Bike and I kept straight right off the road and hit the ditch at about 90 MPH. I did about $5700 worth of damage to the bike. I had to replace just about every piece of plastic. I was very lucky not to do any damage to the frame not the rims. I remember flipping over the bars when I hith the ditch, and the bike flipped over and landed on top o me. I was pretty messed up, but manage to walk away without any broken bones, road rash, or cuts. Since then, the bike had been totally re-vamped.
