I was riding last night around 10pm and had my high beams on then turned them off for a car to pass then turned them back on and my head lights went out. the low beam and high beam both would not work. i checked the fuse and its fine. also the middle bulb has a slight orange glow to it, so i dont think its the bulb. i tried unplugging the diffrent lights thinking that at least one of them might work but nothing. i've gone threw all the wiring i could get to without taking off my tank and everything is plugged in. has anyone had any problems like this? or have any idea on what it might be? i checked the manual and all it has is directions for replacing the bulb.

QuinC,

Hi. I don't know what your exact problem, but I would check out the headlight switch if I were you. It sounds like the problem didn't happen till you hit the switch. Maybe it's shorting out or something like that. It's worth a shot. Good luck. Later!

hey thanks for the help guys. but i found the problem.. or my dad found the problem. it was the sub harness where all the wires connect together. the wire going to the headlights burned up kind of and left that nasty rusty electric looking crap on the plug in. so i cleaned it up and now they work fine.
