I just got a 954, and rode it tonight and the frame is just burning hot. The temp gauge was running between 200 and 215 all the time, but I couldnt keep my knees against the frame it was so hot. Ive had alot of sportbikes, but never had a frame be that hot. Is this normal for this bike? If not what could the problem be? Thanks

mine is always that hot during the day in traffic. at night actually moving like on the highway it runs about 180-185. the frame is usually always hot and if yours is polshed like mine it gets even hotter. one way not to burn your legs is not to wear shorts... I don't burn my legs in jeans

I also got a wake up call from the frame. I was out posing with the shorts on one day. Haven't ridden with shorts again.

Aluminum frame + hot engine = hot frame Take that puppy to the drag strip and run it 4 or 5 times and feel the frame. I believe you could cook eggs on the thing. Some people theorize that the frame was designed to wick heat away from the engine -- I suppose that could be true but haven't heard it from Honda.

I think it is that the condensor for your frame cooling system is malfunctioning. It is a common problem and should be covered under warranty.

nope there is nothing wrong they all run hot. Mine is a cooker too ever since I got it. Once the fan kicks in it regulates but the frame is still hot. Maybe its a sign that we shouldn't wear shorts but **** it I do..o well

Mama always said wear your riding gear. I got my bike in Nor-Cal and in winter-spring it never got over 215. I recentally got stationed here in Guam and in the slow ass traffic here and light to light stoping the temp cruses up to around 230 sometimes and holly molly is that frame cooking.
