So I bought a solo seat cowl for the 954 and ... well it's a piece.  doesn' t even come close to fitting right.  I'm trying to get my money back right now, but just as a heads up don't buy this piece

xcesiveslyd youre probly right...didn't even notice until now

sceptre post up a pic

looks like he's gonna give my money back no problem so thats cool

so help me decide:

either this one
http://www.1tail.com/sa/p/TARGA_SOLO_SEAT_COWL_CBR954RR_02_WINNING_RED.htm

or the factory honda one (pretty much the same with a slight hump in the middle) for $120

Honda OEM is always the best that is if it's still available, that being said I have a Targa solo seat cowl on my 929 and it is a perfect fit. Good quality and a good color match as well.

I sent you a email,
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you about this because of the holiday, but what you need to do is where the seat cowl mounts to the bike I believe it is 8mm bolts, you need to take your stock nut off your seat take it to a hardware store and get a bolt just like it. Then you need to put the nut and put it on to the seat cowl before you put it onto the bike, this will correct the height of the seat cowl. Then you use your stock nuts to hold it on. the next step is kind of tricky, but, the locking latch you have to carefully with plyers you have to wiggle it back and forth to loosen it up and then eventually it will come out. Wrap duck tape on the ends of it and push it back into the cowl, hold the key on your bike, don't let it lock and as you push down the seat cowl this will properly line the latching. Then take the seat cowl off the bike and get some JB weld and put it all around the latch, don't build it up too much or it won't close. That should be all you need. If you have any problems you can call me at 410-310-8155. Make sure you look at the attached pictures. Also it been on my bike for a year now had no problems with it.

Camman, your tail end is hot.  I didnt like the white sticker on my bike either.  I ordered the 954RR stickers in red and silver.  Should have been here by now.  Ill post pics.

How difficult or easy is it to remove one of those and put the stock seat back on if the old lady wants to ride?
