I'd be interesteed in seeing how this goes for you. There was an article in Sport Rider magazine recently comparing sport touring, sport, DOT racing ties, and slicks. They basically said there's a noticeable difference between the sport touring tires and the sport tires, but not a lot from there on.

well...if you compare them to the corsas...it's going to be corsas all the way as far as stick and performance but as far as mileage...stradas...can't really compare them cause they in different classes you know?

Lets be realistic most of us ride our bikes we dotn race our bikes....I'm not leaning 49 degrees in a descending tightening turn. Where I live roads are straightish and there really isnt a reason not to go for tires that get better mileage. If nothing else the pp 2cts with longer lasting center and softer shoulder may be a good alternative

Hope you like 'em... I really am glad I put a pair on my bike - that was late summer of '05. Got well over 6k miles and it's almost time for a new one.

aside from outright grip, the tires of different breeds also have a temp range they are designed to live in....the more track oriented a tire is, the higher temp the tire will handle....also, for optimum grip a race tire will want to be warmer.....so tack a race slick out in 50F, it will be a rock....were a road tire at 50 will be ok...or as good as a cycle tire can be at 50 anyway.
