Ok, this is for my 01 f4i. I just purchased this to be my track bike not too long ago. Anyway, it needs some work, it's been through a minor accident and has bent forks that need to be replaced along w/ some cosmetic stuff. When I purchased the bike from the guy it started up and ran just fine. So I truck the bike home, park it in the garage and leave it there for a day or two. The other day I work on her a bit, remove the gauge cluster and head lights, then I try and start her up just to check up on her. The bike would just crank over but the motor will not start up. I freak out a bit, then i notice the bike has no gas, I don't exactly know how much it has in it, but when i peaked into the tank w/ a flash light I see absolutely nothing. So I fill her up w/ about a gallon then try to crank her up and I get the same result. I get really pissed and cranked it till the battery dies. Then I switch out the battery from my 600rr and put it in the f4i and crank it a couple of times and same result, engine does not start. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I think its something fuel related, but I am clueless right now. Any thoughts would really help. Thanks E

If you disconnected the guage cluster & headlights you probably also disconnected the tip-over sensor. This sensor cuts out the FI and you don't get any fuel to the trottle bodies. Does the FI's energize when you turn the key on, if not this may be the reason. Try plugging everything back in and put them up right and give it a shot. Rob
