rrasco -> RE: Handy Stands Anyone? (1/26/2007 3:33:48 PM)

got my stands in 2 days! they are great! i like how theyare 1 1/2" as opposed to 3/4" like other stands. they are pretty sturdy, i had to adjust the rear pads some to accomodate my bike, but they seem to be working well. i have never used stands before so i cant compare them. however, i was able to get the bike lifted by myself front and back with no trouble. it was a little hard to get the bike straight, but it was pretty sturdy. i was skeptical i did it wrong so i kept shaking the bike to make sure it was sturdy and it seemed to be....it didnt fall over, lol! are there any tricks to getting the bike straight? seemed to be straight vertical, however it was horizontally crooked. i did use wood under the kick stand to hold it straight as i lifted the back. and that warning that came with them showing how to do the front stand, the CORRECT way and WRONG way diagram was misleading, it made me think i was gonna knock my bike over, what does it really mean?
