first off... tell me guys if this is a good deal.. .
1995 f3 600 with 25,000 miles...  scratches and scuffs from wear and tear... and probably fell once...with a small crack in the fairng... and tires with 50% threads...   for  >2000?

--

if so... i personaly think its an UGLY... color scheme... its white with purple and yellow decals.

and i wanna know what i can do to make it look newer... or if its worth the effort... and have a differnt color scheme... *the darker ones*

thats a really good deal and has a pipe too, that is a 96 model the 95 model looked like mine \/\/\/\/\/\/\/ in the picture below, you can pick up all new fairings like these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-HONDA-CBR-600-F3-Full-Set-Fairing-96-up_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35560QQihZ013QQitemZ230079192819QQrdZ1
i think these /\/\/\/\ have a cool scheme and you could sell your plastic on ebay and make most of your money back probly

oh i see, you can tell the different years from the color schemes its just something you learn from reading about them all the time like i do, i found this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/cbr-600-f2-f3-cbr600-upper-fairing-kit-lower-headlight_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35583QQihZ002QQitemZ120076031492QQrdZ1 its not everything you need so you would have to buy the tail fairing center upper and rear fairing you would have to buy a different rear light and seat with these fairings that im showing you they change the rear section in 97 & 98

i saw alot of these color schemes on there also

As far as making it appear to be a newer bike, there are a ton of things you can do.  Here's one, though we have still had no one, that I know of, succesfully contact this manufacturer to get prices.  Here is an F3 kit from Spain...

Badass...

That's an F2...would be sweet if they had it for an F3

i love the way the tail looks  and yes it deffinetly appears to be a F2 .. i might just have to try and photoshop that and make it look more F3-ish

I was under the impression that the F2 and F3 was completely interchangeable.  I think the only difference is the side fairing mounting bolt, isn't it (the one under the maint. cover)?  I don't even have bolts for mine on there so I say to eff with it - someone buy one sos we can see a pic installed.

If anything, the subframe and the upper fairing stay should match - that's enough to buy this kit... hell, the rear would be enough for me!

Even if it is, it has to be minor.  A new stay could be welded in seconds.

Screw the tech stuff, we'll make it fit!  Let's get a price on these bad boys... someone here posted the original link but twas in Spanish - anyone care to translate if we find the site again?

The F2 and F3 fairing stays are different. No need to do any welding though. You can just unbolt either and swap them over. My F3 came originally with an F2 fairing stay and F2 plastics. I changed the stay and installed 98 model plastics- for the newer looking tail- plus it was a matching set of plastics. I got them complete off ebay for $499 plus shipping which I think was $99 insured.
