guys just picked up a 97 cbr 600
purple, yellow

looking to do the following:

Lower the bike
repaint the bike with a deeper purple
decal the bike with smokin joe's decals
try to find a cover to make it look like a solo seat

any advice on how to do the following, thanks

look at my post re: single seat cowl. Well, it's not actually the cowl but the issue you will have getting an exhaust hanger - i had to grind the pillion peg! there is nobody in the UK, or anywhere else that i can find, that makes an exhaust hanger which retains the rear shock reservoir seating unit.

You can get the single seat unit from pyramid - or even better off eBay. Easy to fit as just sits over the rear part of the seat and is held on by two brackets, under the seat. Removing seat is easy - let me know if you need help.

I also got rid of the grab rail - i've put black wire mesh (smart stuff - no rubbish) under the holes and it looks good.

Basically, as far as i know, i am the only CBR600 FT rider in England to have a proper single seat bike with no pillion pegs.
