I don't have a 99 but I do have a 97 with 5750 miles. It only had 2800 original miles when I bought it in May.

TOOLMAN -> RE: LOWEST MILES 99 900RR (9/16/2005 4:48:07 PM)

NOT A 99 EITHER, BUT I JUST BOUGHT A 1996 900RR WITH ONLY 8826.

quil900 -> RE: LOWEST MILES 99 900RR (9/26/2005 7:43:42 PM)

Man how'd you find a 96 with less than 9000 miles and what was wrong for it to have such little mileage. what'd you pay? Give the whole story if you would. I got mine for 2500 and she had little under 15 now shes got about 16 just in the last month.

grubeda7 -> RE: LOWEST MILES 99 900RR (9/27/2005 2:44:31 PM)

common guys keep this thread going!! Any year 900RR I wanna hear the number of miles on em, the lower the better!! peace

Chrisct713 -> RE: LOWEST MILES 99 900RR (9/29/2005 11:47:31 AM)

i picked my 93 900rr up early this summer with 9957 miles on it. now its got nearly 19000 on it but i was surprised how little the bike was used over the past 12 years. It's the black/silver/red scheme and the thing is mint. I think i paid too much for it tho, 4800 is a little high even tho the bike was perfect, isnt it?

grubeda7 -> RE: LOWEST MILES 99 900RR (9/29/2005 11:05:48 PM)

If it was mint and had that low of miles I would almost consider that a collector's item so the price was not unfair. Post some pics of the beast and DAMN thats a lotta miles you put on it!!! peace

In response to quil900...
Bought from a buddy who stumbled on a deal on it. Story I heard went something like...guy got too many tickets and wife made him put it up.....stored it for a few years, during that got a divorce and then then he eventually sold it off to buy a house. Really appears to have been stored for a looong period of time. From the tires (were still original, along with everything else being factory orginal) and wear on everything else I am pretty positive it is original miles, no speedo unhook or anything. Very clean....paid $3,900. I didn't think that was bad considering the shape it was in. Sure beats the price for a new one :). Hoping to rack up the miles on it now though.
Sounds like you got a steal for $2500 on yours.

GUYS!!!!!!!!! First of all I'm impressed by the dirt cheap prices you are picking up these bikes for. The thing I can't figure is why you don't ride them!. I bought a 95 900 with 15,000 on it. In a year it now reads 24,000 and I don't get to ride half as much as I would like. I bought a new 2005 bike (won't mention the name of it) and in the first month I've hit 1000 miles.. They are built to ride fellas...........SO RIDE

I also own this thing, it's a tuff decision but the bronc usually gets the seat time.

I most certanly agree with the "Get OUT and RIDE" campaign but am I alone in thinking that the 9 series will one day become a collector's item. I mean, I think my 99 900rr looks just as good and maybe even better than a brand new 1000RR (thats just my opinion) I just think that the 9 series are a timeless series of motorcycles that will be appreciated fro many years to come!!! So def get out and ride but remember, take care of your ride and it will take care of you years from now!!! :) Ride on ya'll.. peace
