I am thinking about doing a tail conversion on my 99 F4 and
I was wondering if the F4i tail plastic directly bolts on to an F4.
Are the taillights the same?(they appear to be same)
If the tail does fit, is all you need the tail and new F4i seat??

go do a search on crbworld.net
basically the entire tail section of the bike is different, the light, subframe, etc...
i did the conversion and you'll need these parts from an F4i:
subframe
tailight
undertray
tail fairing
both seats
passenger pegs if you want em
fabricate a new mount for the r/r, this is a must, do not zip tie the r/r on to the subframe. it needs a aluminum bracket to help dissipate heat.
fabricate a new mount for hte fuel pump since on an F4i the pump is inside the tank and ours is on the F4 subframe
other than that its all bolt on and it took me a total of about 2 hours to do. SIMPLE
