07 600RR should be at the top of the heap again as per recent reviews.  They also moved the handlebars a bit so it's supposed to be slightly more comfortable than earlier RRs.

i havent riden the r6 but i really like the way it looks. 07 RR is nice too tho, just ride both and see what you like better. are you buying the bike as a track bike or for the street or what?

A witch doesn't ride a bike, she rides a broom silly

But if you were to ask her which bike she'd ride, it'd probably the 600RR.

While I haven't riddin the 07 600RR yet, but I have ridden a few of the 06 R6, I can tell you that as a "street" bike it sucks in a big way!  But as a "race" bike it's one of the best to start out with.

What it really comes down to is the way it makes it power, if you think you have to rev the piss out of a 600RR to get it to make power, well the R6 is way worse...  The 07 600rr, from what I've heard, will make a far better street bike.

Keep in mind that comfort can be bought (comfy seat, bar risers, adjustable pegs) for very little, releative to getting the motor work done to get the midrange beefed up...

I was driving next to an 07' R6 the other day and the first thought that jumped into my head was "fisher price". It looked like a flimsy toy the way the back blinkers wabbled and shook as he rode, and I think the style design is just too over the top. If I ever crashed on one of those my biggest fear would be that my bike would stab me, it's got so many sharp edges. Also if price is an issue the CBR is cheaper.
