Hey everyone....new to the site....I have a '02 Cbr 600 f4i.I recently was performing a wheelie and was forced to bring the front end down pretty fast and hard. After doing so i looked down and my Speedometer/Rpm gauge is no working.Along with my neutral and kickstand lights. The signal lights and highbeam lights turn on though.Anyone know if I have gone and broke the hole unit or possibly just blown a fuse or have loose wiring. Also the clock works. So i assume the whole unit is not affected. But im not a professional or anything. Please respond ASAP so you save me money and I dont have to bring it to the dealer and cost mucho $$$.Thanks for your help...

You could have knocked a wire loose. Did the bike die when it came down? cause i know that if you disconnect the main plug for the front fairing that controls all the lights and everything the bike wouldnt even turn on. So if the bike still turns on then its possible its not a wire problem. I would suggest taking the front fairing off and inspecting it for yourself because there are alot of things that could of happened. Also i would recommend checking your fork seals because if the impact was intense enough to break your speedo then it could have broken something else. Worse comes to worse you might have to take it in and have it looked at by a honda mechanic but on the bright side you will at least know you got the best conclusion to why your bike is doing this. Good luck.

Prob. a loose wiring harness that comes up from the front of the fairing and into the gauge cluster assembly.

I had a similiar problem & it turned out to be the conectors inside the cluster had come loose.
There is a small cover on the backside of the cluster where the wire harness goes in, take that off & you will see the 2 little conectors I'm talking about.
Check out this to see what I mean http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_0371/speedometer_01-05/speedometer_01-05.cfm?man=ho&groupid=5230&parent=5220

just fixed.did you put on after market turn singles.the metal in side grounds out the lights.let me no if you did. just take them off and put a new fuse in and it should work.

Yeah my problem not as serious as i thought it would be.Wasnt looking forward to removing the front fairing to check cluster so i did the easiest thing.checked the #10 fuse..Sure enough blown....Easy cheap fix.I took a look at my aftermarket taillight set up the previous owner assembled.nice from outside...a complete mess on the inside.Im gonna have to replace that setup ASAP.Or not...prolly not worth the money...Im selling it to move up to a gsxr1(sorry cbr fans).Nice bike though.Just want something bigger and more torquey.
