If anyone has any experience with this helmet, what did you like and/or dislike about it?  I'm planning on getting one in the next couple of months with the Bostrom graphics.

This is by far my favorite helmet...it's light weight, not real bulky, the ventilation is amazing, has a removable (washable) liner and looks wicked! The second you take this masterpiece out of the box you'll think...WOW! I have the Daijaro Kato replica and wear it pretty much for the track only or when I feel like spoiling my head!

Get it...you won't regret it and before this turns into a Suomy vs Arai vs Shoei thread, I have a Shoei head and none of the other brands fit as nice...

Daijaro Kato R.I.P.
Arais are better but that Shoei is still nice helmet.
That one's for you Fret.

i love my x11. i agree w/ what fretless said.

the only thing that i don't like about it is the waffle iron texture of the lining, which sometimes gets uncomfortable on really long/hot rides.

I tried on the X-11 at the international motorcycle show a few weeks ago and loved it.  There I tried the shoei then tried on the HJC AC-12 right afterwards, it was a night and day difference in just the way if feels against your skin and the quality of the graphics.  I also tried on the different type of Arai's that were there, but I liked the Shoei better.  Yeah, after trying on the X-11, I can't go back to wearing my current helmet (HJC AC-11) when spring gets here.

I have one and its like kangaroo leather. Feels like you've been wearing it for ever and fits right away no pain. One thing I found out to be a problem was my spy sunglasses hurt a bit. Switched to my oakleys a little better but still. So I went and got a full smooked visor. Problem solved. Best helmet I have ever had. Man those AGV were way uncomfortale to me btw..

I have used my Shoei X-11 to the fullest. I have riden it on the track and on the street. I also have had a pretty bad accident while wearing my X-11. It held up great. I landed mostly on my body, but I hit hard on my right front of the helmet. I had a replacement tinted visor. The visor didn't brake off or anything, even though the impact was right on the visor. I did have the rear spoiler come off. But over all I loved the fact the helmet did it's job. I will buy one again.

P.S. I will get some pic's of it on here soon

I am looking at either going scorpion or just suckn it up and spending double on a shoei.  I am going to try to get to a chop this weekend and hopefully they have both so i can try them on.  I guess this its the only way you will ever know how much you like a helmet!!

The little lever it there to de-fog your helmet. If you grab the lever and point the front part of it up it will just crack the visor a little bit to let air in to de-fog it. It works great when you are on the fly and dont want to much air in. But if lift the vision with the lever up, when you put it down it will close the vision completly.
