well im super new here and I have readed this entire post all 10 pages and I have come to a decision
1.I'm not sure I want to get a bike now

One thing you're forgetting is that an I4 will have more torque than a V6. HP may be the same, but your I4 will out torque his V6 everytime. The moment he upgrades though, his HP will outperform your lack of displacement

I would like to see your Lude throw 240 to the wheel with those minor upgrades. They only come 208 stock, and you arent gaining 40hp off of headers and exhaust. I miss my last eclipse but the gas sucked and it was a money pit, but it ran like a beast. This eclipse I only have a few things done. CAI, larger TB, headers, exhaust, valves, suspension (independent front and rear YES!), injectors and clutch upgrades. There are a few more things too, but not enough to mention. Your car is about 800lbs lighter. Is it the HKengine? But I dont belive its pushing 240 to the wheels, maybe to the crank though, but thats only getting about (240 * 13% (FWD usually lose about that % in transmission) = 33 ... 240-33 is only about 207 to the wheels) Which, if his car is stock. you would be kicking his arse. 203 *13=26 .... 203-26=177, and not to mention your torque. And either way, its a 4 banger.
