get a ninja250 or a ex500 for your first bike. thats what I plan on doing. and make sure to TAKE THE MSF COURSE.  wait a while for the cbr. don't rush it. just be patient and you'll get the bike you want.

Start smart. That's a good move. HyeRider5 doesn't even have a bike yet and he knows whats up. But guys that have ridden for a month know everything!

500...250 is too small...maybe if you were in a crowded city or something.

ever seen a 500 or something old skool like F2 pass up someone on a liter bike or a brand new 600? it's awesome to see posers get passed in a turn, only to try and pass in the straight...and not make the next turn...muahahhahah....

liter bike is 1000cc bike...
so...instead of saying 600...you can say 0.6 liter bike...and so forth...but then i think you'd be too deep for people to know what you're saying...at that point...only Rippin can understand you...muhahahaha...

wow i've been seeing some really nice 05' 600rr's going for anywhere between $4-5K  thats a pretty decent price for those beauties i saw.  So far, and with previouw expieriences ebay is the way to go when buying a bike, unless you can find someone selling one rediculously cheap, which doesn't happen.  Anywhere else to get good deals?  and of course cycletrader and the newspapers prices are going to be jacked....

I'd like to see a single non-salvage '05 for 4-5K that isn't trashed. Got a link? I don't trust ebay bikes because they can be full of crap, and at that price probably will be.

06 salvage that looks excellent

you cannot tell me those are not good deals, you just have to know where to look, and me and ebay are like white and rice.
Do have a question though.  What your opinions on buying a slighty wrecked/damaged bike with only cosmetic damage and fixing it up?  Is anything known to break or bend when the bike hits ground?  Also whats your opinions on  buying a salvage title bike that looks great, or either needs to be fixed up? thanks

Those are not good deals. A salvage title means that at some point in its short life, the 06 RR was deemed totalled.

You may was well go out and get a great deal on a Hurricane Katrina car.  There was only a little water damage and the carpet is new.

OMG!!!  are you kidding me?!?!?!?  You really don't know a whole lot about bikes.  If you think these salvaged bikes are good deals, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that you'd be interested in for a really good price.

Haha, *you just have to know where to look*. Oh well, if I ever end up with a totalled bike I know who to call to sell it to.
