This post has done the rounds, but just for good measure, my 1999 FX ( your F4) now has 71,200 miles, all mine since new.

bought mine with 6k on it, its got 35k now and runs great. Just take care of her and she'll take care of you.

i bought mine with a little over 7k on it in march or april of last year. it now has almost 14k on it. runs like a top!

a buddy of mine bought an 02 f4i with like 2k on it back in 03... he learned how to wheelie and endo on the bike... he beat the living crap outta it, riding on the highway in second gear hitting the limiter for miles at a time... on one wheel for miles... and rolling rev limiter burnouts all the time... he beat the shit outta it! but after 16k HARD miles... it finally blew a rod through the case... needless to say, he threw another engine in there!

I know a guy personally who is also on this board... owns a 2004 f4i with over 86,000 miles on it. no lie..... if you take care of it... it will take care of you.

its his main transportation....

my bike... bought it a monthish a ago....already put on 3500 miles on it... as my main transportation.

got my 900rr in june 06' with 14,000...it now has 21,000...near endless riding season in mississippi...

I met a retired guy at Road America last year that followed the AMA series around the US on his Goldwing....plus other touring inbetween. 225,000 miles in 5 years....I bet there isn't a road he doesn't know. All the motor has was oil changes and timing belts....it was the flat 6 1800, but still. I asked about tires...he just said - "lots"...haha.

I'm new to the forum, when I bought my bike in jan.05 the mileage meter said 28k but the motor was rebuilt at 30k now im at 48k

I have a 96 f3 these bikes run smooth and have very little problems my bike has 19000 miles on it maintanced was always done on a regular basis.

'99 F4, 32000+ Km's (or 20k miles) on her. I keep her clean, lubricated and tight, just good basic maintenance. Runs like a champ.
