I was wondering if anybody here wrapped their exhaust pipe(not the headers) and gained/lost any performance out of it? I did a search but only came up with a thread about wrapping the headers and that is not what I want to do. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Your not gonna gain or lose anything, well besides more heat out the rear and less out the sides, which is favorable.

That's pretty good for 76 degree day.
Seriously though I think just wrapping the exhaust is going to be a waste of your time.

The reason I'm asking is because I just purchased a slip on and i'm taking the heat shield off. Instead of me putting the stock heat shield back on, I thought maybe wrapping the exhaust pipe would give it more of that racy look and would reduce the heat. anyways, thanks for the help fellas.
