Just a curious question. You say NO DEALERS, why? If they have what you want, at the price you are willing to spend, why would you say no to what they have? I am not a dealer, just curious.

Also you seem to be very specific in your requests and a dealer may be the only place to have what you really want. Not everyone has exactly what you need lying around just awaitng your post, and a dealer can either have it in stock or order it. I'm not a dealer either just responding to the specifics.

wow, thats crazy....not just looking for the right deal, but with a custom paint job too?  i think you would have better luck painting it yourself.  just seen an 06 F4i with less than 400 miles on it in Tucson, maybe you should give him a holler.

Well, at least going to a dealer who has what you want means you found the bike. The individual who has what you want my have history, not only on the bike, but himself as well. Not defending dealers, but they are in the business of motorcycles. If there is a problem with the bike, most will be reasonable to make it right. The individual is not going to help you out, only thing you will get is a "caveat emptor" statement. What you hear from an individual "may" be entirely bogus. All he wants is your money. He knows you are not going to come back again and buy more acc. or tell your friends to go to him and buy anything, he has got nothing else to sell. When buying anything, buy the product, not just where it is from. Any astute buyer who comes educated on what he is looking to buy doesn't get cheated, except by himself. Look for abvious places of damage, listen for abnormal sounds, smell for the oders of burning oil, coolant, etc. Then look for repaint, scared screws and bolts. Does the rest of the bike match the mileage? Sun fade, worn tires, worn rubber on foot pegs, bar ends, worn chain and sprocket? Do your homework and buy it where ever you find it, if it meets your standards. Welcome........... have a nice day.........

Don't take offense as none was intended. If you read my post and dropped the defensive stance you would see that I was trying to help you. Going onto a forum, that is worldwide, may seem like a good place to get a lot of input. And it is. But what if the only people that respond are from Maine or from England? Like I said not just everyone is just waiting for your request. A dealer in your local area can do everything for you that an individual can and more. Sure there are dealers out there that are poor. But an individual has no cares in the world and you have little recourse once the money and title change hands. Good luck with your search.

Dude chill out! Buy your bike from wherever you want from whomever you want. Like I said good luck. And really, have a nice day.

Wow jms. It isn't everyday we get a newbie with such manners. Everyone here is trying to help, not hassle you. It appears as if you should change your handle from jms to pms, cause it seems to fit better. If you would, please read your posts again and the responses of those that attempted to help. It appears as if all those that help you are offensive to you. Sorry......take a Midol.

wickedbehaviors -> RE: ♥ (3/9/2007 4:13:59 PM)

mind my own business? you came on here asking for help, making it my business. you put your stuff out on a public forum, making it my business. don't come on here and flame everyone else for trying to help you. either take the advice everyone gave you or shut up and leave

Dave K -> RE: ♥ (3/9/2007 4:49:02 PM)

I don't think we have to really worry about him, wickedbehaviors. If you look at his profile, you will see that he doesn't exist[sm=sigh.gif]. I really don't think most people here, have a problem with inadaqicesy(sp). Most of us have a bike[sm=shades.gif], so that is not one of our short comings. Most have been here awhile, so we seem to all get along[sm=icon_cheers.gif]. Most of us have a profile, telling where about we live and where you can send an email to, this means we are real people[sm=hia.gif]. So just what problems do you think we have[sm=dontgetit.gif]? Good luck in you search[sm=signs003.gif]. I can see why you wouldn't want to buy from a dealer too. No one wants bad publicity and selling to a problem buyer is not what a seller wants to deal with. The only person I see attacking you, is yourself[sm=boohoo.gif]. I will go out to play with my bikes now(yes, more than one bike, so that isn't a short coming). You have a good time on yours[sm=violin.gif]! Actually this is getting to be fun![sm=americanasmiley.gif]
