Anyone have one of these I was thinking of buying it, would be nice to have some storage not hanging on my back while riding and as easy to take on/off as a backpack.
They are pretty cheap too $30 or so, not bad for a magnetic tank bag.
Anyone have any reviews on this item or alternatives?

I have the ICON small tank bag, works really well and has material so it won't scratch your tank. Retails for $50.

I was eyeing this tank bag for a while, but it was a bit out of my price range. If you can get it for 30, it's a good deal. It's actually going for high 30's on ebay. Looks like an awesome bag, but I decided to go for a tail bag instead.

just new here but figured i would say hi and throw my 2 cents in... if no one cares, tell me to take a hike and i'll relocate myself back to my corner and sulk.

i've used the OXFORD gear... tank and tail bag... good stuff, heaps of storage, but found when you extend the bags you gotta tie the tops down as well or they occassionally throw you off balance when scratchin through corners...

You got a link to the oxford gear?

OK, so I know they all say they have stuff on the underside to protect the paint...  but won't all of these bags still scratch if they get a little dust under them?

Have the Joe Rocket bag and like it alot.  No scraches on the tank you just have to watch it when the bag "jumps" onto the tank when it gets close.  As far as storage...not a whole lot there.  I like it because it fits my cell phone, wallet, bottle of water and my GPS logger.

Are the magnetics on these bags strong enough to reach through the plastic cover and connect to the metal tank underneath with no worries of it falling off when riding? Even on interstates?

they are very strong.  The one the fits closest to the rider even connects through my tank pad

I have a larger rocket tank bag it is about 8 inchs tall great for longer trips cuz I roll my clothes up and pack them in there and lean on it so my back isnt hurt as bad, even with a larger size the mobility on the bike is still good.  Lookin into a bag for the rear seat.
