Sounds just like my ride.  Same year, same colour.  I have put flush mounts on the front, intrigated tail light, undertail and progrip grips.  Not to much but a start.  Turst me when I say it is a very nice ride and you will enjoy.

I have an F-Y (the european version of the F4 2000 model). First off good choice
Have you got a double bubble screen on your bike? They make a lot of difference, especially if you plan to do some distance riding. I also think they look ace, though that's down to personal opinion as to weather you like them or not. Anyway when you get to ride her it'll be worth the wait, enjoy and have a safe ride.
P.s. welcome to the forum

right now it has a single bubble smoke screen on it. i've seen the double bubble ones and i think they look good. i was wondering about their effectiveness, but i think you answered it

I have a double bubble on mine and it works great.  I just put Vortex frame sliders on the bike.  Very easy to do.  You do have to cut the fairing but that was also very easy and clean if you do it right.  When you do the LED's make sure you get the proper relay to get your signals working at there DOT rate.
