dude not sure where you are with the mass production idea, last time i read they were charging a large amount to produce...how about selling your idea to airtech-streamlining, they sell aftermarket body parts for various bikes. you should be able to google them amybe contact them and share your idea. i know they have a few custom kits for a few bikes. so maybe yours can be on there. just an idea.

Companies like airtech tend to stick to what they know. Think about it from a company's prospective. They are about selling a product that will bring in a return. Keep in mind that there are people like myself with older bikes wanting a to change its looks but is there a profit potential in it. Trust me I have looked into this before and there wont be a partnership because its all about making money. Just to get a mass production going for a bike can cost hundreds of thousand of dollars. Plus the airtech will make a kit the will use the stock stay and headlight and the look of the bike would pretty much be the same and you don't want to buy a kit that looks the same. If I was in the united states I would been had these fairings going out to the post office. Here in koera the simplest item I need I have to wait weeks for because here in korea they just don't do alot of custom work. So to sum it up there are two many things that come into going to companies with a idea. Think about it would a company make a honda/yamaha fairing taking the chance to get sued? Like I said there are alot things to consider.

Well I see your concern. I see the style of the fairings and its unlike the style similar to the F3 or F4I. Your VFR fairings tend to shoot upwards instead of forward. Now it can be done molding a fairing but your choices are limited. My thoughts on this is to swap fairings. I think it would be cheaper to buy a set of fairing from ebay or argo.com. If you have skills with bodywork then go for it if not you will pay around 60.00 bucks a hours so good luck. Now check out the link below I would go with this set of fairings and just mount it on my bike.

well thanks for your suggestions....i guess i better get good and fast cause i aint paying nobody $60 an hour for nothing.  But i think i have a good idea on how to possibly merge the 2 fairing with fiberglass. i think with a little re-engineering and imagination, i should be able to get it...thanks alot and again man keep up the good work and good luck with your project...damn what anyone else says, your design is good....keeping it moving...just shake the haters off as you go.

I would be intrested in either one. I like the R1 front end and the F4i......I would most likely go with the F4i front end though.....let me know....ill buy one!!!

Okay now that I have my bike back from the shop custom fairing installed and painted to match I have determine that this is a acceptable fairing mod and I plan to reproduce it soon. I put the fairing through a few test and observations such as clip-on clearance, headlight angle projections and appearance. Today I rode my bike around the army base I work on and got alot of head turns and compliments from my friends. This is the second F3/R1 fairing I have made the first coming out a bit rough but this new fairing is a beauty. So I hope to have some fairings available for purchase before the end of next month.

What can you do for f4i?  Think you can do a 2007/8 type 600rr fairings?  I like the minimalist look. Or perhaps even RC212V.

Jay,
I think the F4I is still a pretty good looking bike. I think the upper looks better than a 600RR so why change. Anyway it can be done with a little imagination. But in order for me to do anything with a bike I must have that model in front of me. I live in south korea and to find a F4I that I can rip apart is hard. Sorry I am not abble to help.
