What's the final verdict on the F3 upper fairing with F2 lowers, if you change the headlight?

can someone clarify on things that are "yes, but not the same."

Am I to take that as, yes you can swap them without issue - they're just not identical pieces?

as in, if I were to buy an F2 with a blown engine, I could buy an eBay F3 engine and not have any fits installing it?

Correction for the front wheel on a f2 To fit a f3 it will work on the f3 u just have to use the speedometer spacer from the f2. I just bout a 94 f2 parts bike that had chrome wheels and it fit on my 96 f3 didnt have to change the calipers, rotors or forks.

Also for DJ S the upper triple tree clamp should work on a f2 i swapped over the triple tree clamp from the f2 to my f3 and they were identical.

What is different from the f2 bare engine to the f3.  I was hoping that you could buy a bare f3 enigine and fit it to the f2 chassis
and use all the f2 things to make it run again.
