2005 cbr 1000 repsol / i just did the flapper mod (completly removed) and added a BMC air filter, in addition i replaced a radiator hose that had been leaking, to reach the hose i had to completly remove the airbox. now that i have put everything back together the bike is idling at 5000 rpm and can not be adjusted with the idle adjuster. i double checked to make sure all of the vacum hose were still hooked up and all of sensors were hooked up. the radiator hose i replace is the one that connects to the IAC valve however i dont think it is the cause of the idle being at 5000 rpm. any suggestions would be greatly appriciated

why can it not be adjusted with the tensioner...... Did you start it at all without it being hooked up correctly? Try giving it a little gas and let it sit a minute. It may adjusted itself after lettingit get used to the changes.

I did not start the bike until everything was hooked up correctly, last nite i opened up the air box and started the bike to see if maybe the throttle was stuck open slightly, all four of the intake butterflys were closed but it was still idling at 5000 rpm, it appears the primary fuel injectors are stuck open or something. when i was working on it i did not event touch the primary injection system and as for the secondary injection i just unbolted it from the airbox and moved it to the side per the service manual. the radiator hose i replaced was for the IAC thermal valve right next to the thermostat. i double checked to make sure that the vacum hose from the back of the throttle body was plugged after i removed all of the flapper parts. the idle control hnob is useless in correcting the idle, i checked to make sure that it was function properly when i turn the knob and it is. i did not adjust the idle or mess with the fuel injection system other than unbolting the secondary fuel injection from the airbox when i was replacing the hose. Any Ideas? the service manual does not adress this situation

sounds to me like a air leek you mite try getting a can of brake cleaner and put the red tube that comes with the can on it and start the bike and do a little spraying around where all the intakes are just to prove my idea is way off

I usually use foaming window cleaner. Safe for all those parts, coats what you're looking at with foam, then it'll bubble up really good if there's a leak.
