i cut it totally off, but if you look at the picture there is a little flap that has to be left there for under the fender. you can keep your reflector there or something. as for the license plate, look under your fender, theres a PERFECT spot for it. drilled 2 small holes, and bolted it there. seriously, its the perfect spot. just doesnt make the cops happy. as for an aftermarket fender eliminator, im always short on cash and dont like spending much on things like that, but it would make it look cleannnnn

Here's where mine was. The light was relocated under the tool tray and the plate was bolted to the bottom of the seat. I got tired of bike hater Houston Police pulling me over so I moved it to the rear of the bike. Thumbnail Image

I'm a a little nervous about cutting, but i also hate the look of 8 inches of plastic hanging on the back of my bike too!!! I like how denhou did the plate out far like that with the light above it though... looks almost stock, but way sleaker!!! nice bro... i actuallly love both ways you did it, but i dont want to get pulled over, i live in a small town (quiet) and for some reason we have like 4 cops and they are always on patrol, as if anything is gonna happen..... but yeah they are kinda jackasses!!

ORIGINAL: Rainier heres my little hack job. its alright. put my license plate inside the fender. perfect spot for it. that's nicee i never thought about putting the blinker's where you got them.... do you get much trouble about the tag placement? do you have tag lights on it? i went to homedepot and bought a piece of metal of some kind and just drilled it to fit, then bolted it through the trunk, if you hack alll the back plastic stuff off, you'll find a little rectangular piece that cant be cut off, i put my after market blinkers in the side's of that

Thanks. If you want to mount it like I did in the first pic, take a hacksaw and cut where the 'line' goes across (in between the turn-signals). Make sure the line is perfectly straight before you cut. You can use a file to clean up the cut when your're finished. Pull your seat and mount the license plate light underneath the tool tray. There a small hole underneath the tool tray close to where the turn signal is mounted. You can run the wires through there. If you want to mount it like the second pic, you'll have to remove the rear reflector and cut a hole just big enough for the back of the license plate light. I also had to dremmel out where the mounting screws go. Not sure about where you are, but here in TX the license plate has to be lit and you must have a reflector on the rear. That's why I have the cheesy circle ones.

I have a piece of diamond plate bent up unter my tail, and I have led arrows glued into the sides of my light. My plate is also bolted under the fender on the black plastic, which is actually part of the seat. I havent had any problems with it. I got pulled over and the cop never said anything about it.
