Yea, that was pretty wild how they ran out of fuel at the same time.  I think it may have something to do with the traction control 'cause it is linked to fuel delivery.  Since it is all new for this season it was really a test ride for Team Honda.  Kinda like they did Nicky Hayden last year, except he pulled it off.  Its sick how all the bikes have traction control this year.  Wonder how long before it will be in mass production.  Suzuki kinda has something going this year with the GSXR-1000, but from what I read only 2 out of the 3 settings is useful.  I'm thinking Honda will do something for the 2008 CBR-1000 and then 2009 they'll do something for the 600's.  I don't know, all this technolgy is scary.

I think traction control for the street would be great. For racing, I THINK IT SUCKS! Just another way they are taking the rider's skill out of the equasion. No more backing it in, whipping it around, squaring it off and hauling ass out of the corner. I don't know, maybe the riders like it, but I loved watching them slide em around. Just my opinion.

They aren't taking any rider skill out, what they do with tech the riders will redirect toward another area. Kawi owned the day obviously, Honda at 6 and 8 was sad.

A friend of mine is manager on a small two man team that was there.....here's what he brought back from the pits.  I doubt we'll ever know the full truth.

So, the talk late Saturday was that the problem with Honda in the 200, happening at the exact same time, was due to a telemetry issue, which is illegal. Honda was SENDING over data to the bike to alter fuel mapping and such, when a glitch caused both bikes to fail at the same time.

Why did I read this thread????  I haven't watched the race yet.  So, Honda's cheating huh?  Mladin accused them of that in '04 I believe.  Said they were using a front wheel sensor, which is illegal.  Honda's position (or so I assumed) was that it was a necessary part on the production CBR1000RR for the HESD.

What's going to happen to Big Red now?  Are they ever going to do Suspersport again?  Sorry for the rant, I just think it's time to stomp everyone else with the baddest 600 on the market.
