i dont try to race bikes in my diesel.. mostly cause i know the acceleration of a bike is unmatched.. so by the time i shift into second the bike is already through the intersection..

yea ur right, but not every diesel is doing that.  I'm not hating on diesels or anything cuz i have a buddy that has a bad ass diesel, but it's like every time i pull up next to one they're always trying to act tough because they have a vehicle 20 times the size of mine

lol theres lots of things that run in the 9s at the track. doesnt make their daily driven counterparts any faster.  ive notived that too.  come on, big heavy diesels get walked all over by honda civics and v-6 mustangs.  being fast for a truck, or fast for a diesel  and being fast are 2 very different things.  they need to get it through their heads, if you race a normal every day car, you'll lose, if you race a bike, you get shamed.

this is great ! last night i was on my way home and had to stop for gas sice it was payday i treated the girl to a nice tank of 101 octane, now as i am siting there filling up som guy a ram diesel pulls up. i mind my own beacuse its a gas staion lots of people pull in. well this walks over to me and checks out my bike. says nice bike blah blah blah ....  and he ask how fast have i gone on it ! i replied 160 he then ask me if i want to make a quick 50 bucks ! i said sure how ? hey free money is free money. he wants to race me i his truck. i was no way first i don't race anything that can run me over when i beat the crap out of it! he says check my truck out then think about it. so i check his truck out its nice .. bullydog electronics and soem big ass turbo and nos .. i was like hell no. i don' have 50 to spare if i lose he tells me ok 50 just to give him a run for his money and pulled a 50 out of his pocket an handed it to me. so i handed it back and asked where was this going to happen at. he knew of a spot that was a private airstrip that we could run on .. so we exchanged numbers and sice the weather was rainy we deciced that sunday we where going to do this .. i will update when it happens

"a nice tank of 101 octane"

Just out of Curiosity? Why do you use 101 octane gas?

Yep, you're bike isn't technically a "race bike", your bike was made to run "Premium" fuel. They sell 110 octane here in town, but the ONLY people I ever see use it are the drag cars on the trailer behind the truck pulling it. And like Tahoe said, you'd lose power more than anything. Your bike will run wayyy too rich/lean, depending on your setup.

Not rich. It will make you run lean no matter how your bike is set up.

Now the question is: Is that 101 octane normal gas or Race fuel? there is a huge difference.

Well, it depends on how he has his bike setup, if he has a PC, an exhaust and so on. Yeah, big diff between race gas and pump gas, no doubt about that, the highest ive seen in ohio is 97<pump gas, and then that 110Cam2 race fuel...ahhh race fuel, going to track days or AMA/WERA races, that stuff is like fresh air, nothing like the sweet smell of race fuel!

Gotta love the smell ethanol and methanol add to the exhaust. We've got one gas station here that has VP Street Blaze 103 right at the pump woohoo!($7.00 a gallon but hey)

its pump gas not race gas, and the reason i run it is that the dealer told me if i can run better than premuim then run that.. now i alwasy run premium i found this 76 station that has 101 and i decided to try it at first just a gallon or 2 and  i noticed my bike got better fuel milage, then when it warmed up i started to ride again more offten adn noticed my gas milage was way down, so i checked the plugs and filters and found nothing wrong just happened to need gas one day and stoped there deciced to try running a full tank 4.5 gallons . i go great milage afer that and still do i just run a tank full once a month. am i doing something to my bike i will stop! but the dealer told me i was fine. but if you guys know better please fill me in! this is my first new bike and DO NOT WANT TO FU@# IT UP! please tell me if i am doing the wrong thing! oh and i showed up at the airstrip on sunday and the guy had his freinds there and just handed me the money and said he was sorry thought i was a 600 ! dam and i was all excited to run my bike so i did a couple passes just for me ..wow! is all i can say i have really never opened my bike up before ..but wow!
