Yeah, mine turned black too. I thought perhaps it got over worked whilst trying to get in & out of Laguna Seca @ the USGP. Anyone who had to endure that farce will appreciate. Any way, whilst I was @ the GP, I picked up a Galfer Superbike kit for my 1000RR. It included F & R brake lines as well as the clutch. So I replaced the fluid all the way around with synth brake fluid. My clutch side remains light in colour. The stock line on the 1KRR is stupidly long and complex - took more time to remove it than both OEM front lines and the OEM rear line! Lever actuation & feel for the clutch is vastly improved. I would strongly encourage everyone to replace the stock piece. Cheers
