I know this topic wasn't intended for me but I'm surprised that every question I was gonna ask already had an answer for it. Thanks morehpforme, I have a '93 CBR 900 RR and I have been looking for '93 fairings for a good while already and I had discarded the idea to look in to later years, so I had decided to paint it, but it's a whole lot cheaper to buy a good set of fairings and brackets. Thanks alot man...

No problem man, just happy to help.
I love these bikes (900rr's) so much that I never stop tinkering with mine. I've learned a lot from internet research as well as trial & error... just spreadin' the wealth, ya know!?

mxprecidia, you don't have to change the mid or lower fairings. All years' mids/lows will work with one another. The mids will mount up just fine to any year upper.

Okay, check it out... the swap is really easy.
Regardless of what year bike you have, you can put on any other years' upper fairing.
Here is my 1993 with 1999 carbon fiber fairings:

If you want 1998-99 front/upper then you need a 1998-99 fairing stay. If you want 1995-1997 front/upper then you need a 1995-1997 fairing stay. If you want 1993-94 front/upper then you need a 1993-94 fairing stay. The mirror stays are a little different. 1993-95(or 96... I forget) mount to the sides of the frame. If you look at the picture you can see an open hole on the frame, right below the grip. If you want to upgrade your mirror stay to the later model, simply buy a late model fairing stay and drill a hole out directly in the middle of the mounting plate. I had a buddy weld an extra plate of aluminium to keep durability up. If your bike already has the two-hole tank mount for the mirror stay, then you don't need to worry about that little bit. The headlight housing is as follows; 93-94.... 95-97.... 98-99. Just like the fairings... that's about it. A really simple upgrade.

Looks awesome, is there any way to swap with an newer fairings model?, like the new cbr 2006 ?.. with two "japan eyes" headlights ??.. will that fairing fit?.. making some basic modifications?

You cab technically use the up to 97 and use the same fairing stay = the 95's used the same as 93-94 and had the 96-97 head light; however, the gauge stay, gauges, and tank (which requires some modding on the frame or tank) are not the same. Tanks fit without modifications for 96-99; but the petcock is different 96-97 & 98-99. Wireharnesses are different as well = the speedometer reading is different (93-94 on a speedocable off the front wheel, 95-97 on the sprocket cover, 98-99 on the crank) basically you if you wish to use the same speedo, cut it off and have it welded on the 95-97 front stay. the 95-99 stays have supports for the headlight on the stay to prevent the bulkier headlight from cracking off on the front upper fairing.

Good luck

I would never change out those dual headlights, esp. on the first year the 900rr came out

To me that is the classic, 900rr look that started the revolution!

But that's just me

Here's mine with AirTech Fiberglass fairings with a new (kinda shitty) gloss black paint job.  It was all done before I got it.
