my friend and i have a 600 and a 1000. we were thinking about getting a complete second set of plastics for our bikes. something not painted, but ready to paint. not sure if i would want the race or factory kit. i would prefer the factory though. that way, i can make a sweet looking custom bike without having to buy another one, plus, it will save my factory repsol plastics in case of accident. does anyone know somewhere good to look at the sets? is it going to break me or what? i found a complete set of racing fairings for around 450$. i would be willing to spend that much insetead of spending the G's it would cost to repair/replace the originals. plus, i have some friends with a shop and all the know how i would need to get paint and what not. im anxious to hear what you guys have to say.

Nothing fits as well as the stock stuff, aftermarket stuff is fine but not perfect. Also remember that race plastics require a upper fairing bracket for it, no headlight holes and such
