I recently did the 520 conversion on my 954rr going 15 front and 45 rear which is -1,+2 over factory. Using this formula from calsportbike.com ((new rear/new front)x(old front/old rear)-1)x100 I gained 11.6% more torque over factory. I want know how to convert this percentage into ft. lbs. of torque. Before going -1,+2 I simply plugged in the numbers to see what is more effective if I only changed one sprocket. By going -1 in the front alone I gained in the neighborhood of 6% increase over stock. By going +2 alone in the rear I gained a mere 4% increase. As everyone knows it is more effective by a small margin to change the front sprocket. Just a cool formula to prove that point. If anyone has any input or ideas how to convert percentages into ft. lbs. please share.
