Back Brakes

zer0gh0st -> Back Brakes (9/18/2005 8:11:35 PM)

I have a 94 f2 and I just changed out my tires, but for some reason my rear brake isnt working at all. I bled it etc. I'm not sure if there is any special procedure for motorcycle brakes but I have done enough cars and they seem similar. Well any help is appreciated.

Thx, I managed to fix it. I' m not sure what was wrong but sometimes just a little bit of a break makes things work. I used a tueb and a glass with brake fluid to bleed it just to be sure and it worked the first time.

I recently replaced the rear pads on my '92. Are the pads where they are supposed to be? They are cradled in the front to keep them from moving. It will only take 5 minutes to fix. The bolt that goes thru the holes in the pads is behind a threaded plug. Also loosen up the front bolt so the pads can pivot. Pull the rear bolt out after all this and check the position of the pads. Are they even bracketing the rotor? I had trouble putting my rear axle back thru the wheel after replacing the sprocket and chain recently. I ended up taking the pads out and trying it all again. Took an hour to get the damn wheel in place. Nothing like working by yourself with out the correct equipment. I need a center stand or jack.

Any help is here.
