how many RPMs do you rev to until u drop the clutch (1st gear wheelies) and how fast are you going?

rpms barely matter, same with speed....

just REMEMBER, cover the rear brake!

i didnt see the f4i doin any wheelies.....and even the 1 guy that did wheelie...shifted into first gear before he popped it.....becaz of that he dropped it soon after caz he ran out of rpms

ill 2nd gear again tomorrow.

as far as rpms go, in 2nd gear, i got to 7-9k rpm....slipped the clutch to even 14k! redline....didn't come up.

i can do first gear wheelies fine...but now 2nd

and you guys are makin it sound really easy to clutch/power in 2nd.

somethin wrong with my bike?

honestly dude, i don't think you've practicied enough.

stop looking at your gauges (some of you may benefit from putting tape over your tach); pop it in to second; bounce and clutch; if it doesn't come up give it more gas.

try opening your throttle more when you're trying 2nd gear.  what i mean is don't turn it 1/8th of a turn and wait for the revs to get to 10+ and let the clutch out.  turn it may 1/4-1/2 turn and then let it out.

get it?

oh ya, i know for sure i havn't practiced enough.....if i had i would know bp already an i don't.

i need a long straight away with no cops so i can try 2nd gear....another thing i gotta work on is bouncing it.

and regarding gauges....my bike is SF so i don't have em. ;)

dude...keep the throttle at the same turn, close to WOT, do not reduce throttle until you get the bike in the air.

many guys slow rev to 9K with like 1/4 turn throttle, then slip the clutch, and say i took it to 9K and it didn't come up.

you want to almost WOT to 9K...keep throttle the same and then slip the clutch...then let off a bit when you get high or feel too high.
cover the rear brake.

it will come right up.

got it? think keep throttle same at near WOT...but for now, try it at 1/2 throttle, should come up still.
