As I said in another post about the repsol, it's really sharp, but anyone willing to pay anything over retail is a big chump. I saw one at the dealer for msrp: 11,900 I believe. I can see the dealer no haggling on price because it's unique, but come on....most of you are getting jacked and don't know better.
And really, who pays $2800 for dealer prep fees? All they do is take it out of the crate, put on the windshield and mirrors and fill the fluids. When I bought my 07 they had the prep fees at just under $300 which is fair. I got them to drop all that crap and still got below msrp plus they threw in mods.

Yeah, you're better off buying an 06 on the cheap and buying the Repsol bodywork seperately. Then you have two looks for the price of one.  :)

How can you be sure of quality here though? I'd rather fork out for factory parts myself. It's worth doing right.

I agree with you on that Hudson. I'm just giving other options. How much are the factory Repsol plastics though?

Yep, nice to know of options. They may very well be good so it would be neat to hear from someone woh bought them. I'm not sure about factory parts. I thought I read somewhere that someone paid $1800. Not bad when you consider you can save a lot of money by not buying a repsol in the first place.

That wouldn"t be too bad. Especially since I picked up my 06 for 8600 OTD. That would be a way cheaper way to get the Repsol, minus the orange wheels. But I'm keeping mine all black!

The repsol replica is definitely worthy the extra few bucks, however, when you get in the 20 grand range you might as well get a Gold Wing or a 1098s ducati. The 2005 repsol looked hot the 07 is pretty much the same.
