Does anybody know how many miles the 05 600rr per a gas tank because I usually fill up when Im at the last bar which is like 85-100 miles, and is there a reserve tank? And what happens when you go past the last bar?

I think after the last bar, either the last bar starts blinking or something else near the lower part of the fuel gage starts blinking, I'm taking it you don't have an owners manual? It tells you in there, but I'm otta state right now and don't have mine with me to tell you for sure. I remember it stating that when the light/bar starts blinking, you have approx 1 gallon of fuel left. I'm averaging around 120 when I get on my last bar, and I don't really ride hard, meaning I rarely go above 7,000 rpm and mainly do city driving. HTH

wow, since the information has been provided to you just do the math or ask how many miles per gallon does the rr do. you are beating around the bush, wouldnt you say? 160 miles on 4.8gals = 33.3 mpg this is some complex crap right here!

I have a 06 What reserve? 600RRs don't have reserve tanks. Everyone's gonna get different mileage per tank depending on how they ride. When you go past the last bar you run out of gas and will have to refill it. Seriously, is this rocket science?

you seem to be getting pretty low milage, Most of us get at least 120 before the last bar, even riding pretty hard. Factors to consider: tire pressure (this one is KIND of important) riding style your wieght, If you are on the heavy side, you will get less gas milage. air filter and gas filter, spark plugs (old worn out components get less gas milage too)

Yeah, 120 definately seems low...I'm with "everyone" else, I get around 130 before I get to the last bar, hell, I never let the last bar blink, as soon as I see that it's on that last bar, I'll start looking for a gas station...and my bike has a bunch of mods too. If something ever does happen, I'm a member of the HRCA and soon to be AMA<already sent my payment in, just waiting on my card and stuff, anyways...I know that the AMA charges extra for "roadside assistance" and the HRCA might be the same way, I don't know though because I always get my HRCA renewed every year for free...both are great clubs to belong to and both are definately worth the money! Maybe you ought to look into those memberships, oh, and a word of advice, once you see the last bar all by its lonesome, start heading towards a gas station. I always reset my trip odometer at each fill-up. Keep a record and if you start noticing any changes in mileage, etc., then you know that you should check your bike out (air filter, oil change, the PSI in your tires, make sure your chain is lubed good, and so on...). Good luck on everything!

There is a reserve it even list it on Honda's web site. I have the 06 :) After it's down to the last bar the last bar changes from black to blinking red that is when you are using the reserve

Correct, the manual says 1 gallon remaining at "reserve' and I think thats about right. If I ride really hard I get around 35 mpg, if its all highway cruising (at or near the speed limit) then its around 45 mpg. On average, its around 40 mpg ie: you'd better hope you're within about 30 miles of a gas station when you hit reserve, ideally more like 20 mile, just in case.

I have a hard time believing that. I have an f4i; if I take it easy and keep it under 6-7k rmps then the bike will get close to 40-42mpg. You dudes have dual stage injections and without taking the power produced into consideration, you will burn more fuel that me. So, if you guys do any where from 35-38mpg; in my opinion I think thats very impressive. However, other factors must be taken into consideration when examining fuel consumption, like climate +etc +blablabla.

I have an '03 RR and I go 160 or so before hitting the last bar too. When I do fill up it takes around 4 gallons so I figure I'm averaging 40ish MPG also. I don't baby it all the time either, I expect I could get 45+MPG if I did.

Seriously, is this rocket science? when the last bar starts blinking means you have 1 gallon left i consider it a reserve due to the fact the the gas gauge only measure 3.8 gallons on the gauge and the last gallon is your reserve light basically. If you read your manual it states that when your gauge marks Full is shown, the fuel tank capacity is 4.76 US gallons including reserve. Pg 24 on my manual I have a 06 manual.
