i did the 15 and 45t rear on my 929. had the 520 w/ alum rear but it wore out way too fast. switched back to the 530 w/ steel rear same gearing though. im not Racer X so i didnt notice a difference. The thing is wheelie happy now. love it! ive never hit the top end on mine yet. been close speedo said 177 and its 10-15mph off at that speeds. getting close to redline. havent dragged yet, gotta get a chain gaurd first.

i did the -1 and +2 .. liked it but if i did it again i would stick with stock for normal riding...... i did also try -1 and +5 .. liked that for 4th gear stand ups

i must be confused but going up in teeth on the rear will increase torque not speed.
so; acceleration kit? what is that?

good luck keeping the front end down!! i got -1? (i think) in front 15  and +2 (i think) in back 45 i am not sure what stock is!  it wheelies ALL THE TIME!! i thought i had stock gearing until i actually counted them. havent gone to the track yet but i am sure it will be interesting. i will post #s as soon as i get them. weather here will be crappy for a couple more months so be patient!!

I did it on my F3 and hated it, you are constantly shifting when riding in town. I would personally just go down a tooth in front and leave it at that.

just a little tip... it says the number of teeth on the side of the sprocket .. saves a litlte time

it's stamped on the outter side.... stock is 16/43 so a -1 +2 is 15/45

i searched and found a mechanic that has lightened flywheels on bmw bikes.. is this something that would be effective for certain bikes perhaps but in your case i think money well spent would be on lighter wheels.
this being said i dropped one tooth front and added two and the rear and under the gun im still lifting the front with a 12 inch stretch shoulda went longer as i ride my wifes bike when hitting the corners , if your serious about dragging definently drop one in the front and add at least 1 or more in the back if bobjoezx added 5 to wheelie in 4th with a stock swingarm that might be a little to much for you as far as shooting down the quarter goes i think if you added 5 without moving weight to the front your going to lose acceleration as you would have to back off the throttle to keep your front wheel from bouncing too much.
also as far as top end loss i couldnt tell you had a speedo readout of 184 stock(not accurate) of course i lived in alaska w/perfect roads and around here im waiting for a warm sunday morning to see what i can record w/a gps.

id say wait and see what kind of feedback everyone else has coming.
